Mymiks
Designed in Norway · Built for children growing up with AI
Mymiks are plush companions your child raises through play. Engaging, offline AI personalities that give children practical, hands-on knowledge of AI through play, building creativity and curiosity instead of passive screen time.

Why we built this
The ones who understand how to use it well, and the ones who get left behind by it. As parents we want our children to be on the right side of that shift. But most of what's on offer today is a screen that asks for more attention every time your child opens it: Passive, isolating, and eroding the creative, independent play that built confidence in earlier generations.
We built Mymiks on an idea: Let's get our children ready for the future of AI through play, through creativity, and activity. Human relationships and the physical world must be anchor points, also for our future generation.
What makes a Mymik different
Your child gets hands-on experience with AI: Its strengths, its limits, when to trust it and when not to, inside a closed, age-appropriate world built with a psychologist.
Mymiks reward showing up: Feed it and talk to it. But bring it out to meet your friends' Mymiks in person. Mymiks encourage you to play off the screen as well — and more screen time never earns a bigger reward.
Everything runs locally, on the device. No cloud, nothing sent anywhere, and no-one trying to make money from your data. Your private world stays exactly where it belongs.
The part that makes it mean something
Every Mymik personality rests on developmental psychology. Each one exercises what a screen so rarely asks a child to practice: Patience, empathy, saying what you need, sitting with uncertainty, telling the difference between what's real and what a machine made up. Mymiks have real strengths and real things to work on, the same as your children.
Spontaneous and endlessly curious. Always ready for the next idea, still working on finishing the last one.
Quiet, creative, and observant. Takes a while to speak up, and says something worth hearing when it does.
Warm and attuned to others' feelings. Still learning that its own feelings matter too.
Sharper-edged and unpredictable, for kids ready for a companion that pushes back a little.

A small detail
We believe every decent product includes some storage space. Tucked beneath the fur is a small, closed pouch, room enough for a note, a coin, or whatever your child decides belongs there.
Inside the pouch
Every Mymik ships with a large coin resting in its pouch, a small keepsake to mark that this one is yours. It's what connects the AI in the app with the physical character and its identity. Scan it with the app. Re-scan it if the phone died and you need to re-enable the app (all progress will be lost).
Keep it secret. Keep it safe.
Body and brain
Squeeze a Mymik as hard as you like. There's no battery in there, no microphone, no camera, just fluff all the way through. The personality lives in the free Mymiks app, where the AI runs offline on your own phone. The coin ties the two together. The soft half gets the cuddles, the smart half does the thinking.
Three steps to play
A note on getting started
The first setup needs an internet connection. It downloads your Mymik's AI models and its personality. After that, everything runs offline. Speech recognition uses your phone's own tools; on some phones, that library needs one download too (done in the phone's own interface), so it can keep working without the internet afterward.
Psychology meets engineering
Maybe not your typical technology company. We started Mymiks AS in Tønsberg, Norway, wanting to approach our own kids with this new AI-stuff in a better way. As most parents, we struggle with the passivity and isolation we see through modern screen usage, but still wanted to make our kids aware and prepared for what might be the next digital revolution.
We operate a tiny family business focused on how we can improve how our kids learn and interact with technology through physical presence. Everything we do is anchored in combining our decades of specialized expertise across engineering and clinical psychology with our daily struggles as parents. We design everything ourselves here in Tønsberg. Our storage facility doubles as a bedroom.
We believe that technology should serve as a bridge to real human relationships. That relationships and human interaction should shape the future.

FAQ
The plush is the point. Your child talks to and cares for a physical companion; the AI lives through it, and game mechanics guide you towards activity and socialization.
No. The app is free, and there are no ongoing fees. You buy it, you own it. We like to keep these things simple and honest.
Yes, or at least a device like a phone or a tablet. We do recommend a small device that can be brought to a friend's place as well. The app has been tested on phones as old as iPhone 16, Google Pixel 7a, and Samsung Galaxy S23. Not every older phone can run a local language model smoothly.
Conversations are deleted when exiting the app. Relational memory is only stored on the local device. No server stores them. You can delete anytime.
No. Reserving costs nothing today. We'll notify you before we ask for any payment, and you can change your mind anytime.
Production has started. We aim to have things in your hand well before the holidays 2026. We'll publish the confirmed shipping window here, and everyone on the reservation list hears first.
Privacy policy
This is a plain explanation of what we collect, what we don't, and why. Last updated July 2026.
Your Mymik's AI runs locally, in the free Mymiks app on your child's or family phone or tablet. The plush itself contains no electronics. Conversations, the personality your child builds, and everything your Mymik learns through play stay on the device. None of it is uploaded or stored on a server. There is no cloud account behind a Mymik, so there is nothing tied to your child's speech sitting on our servers to sell or lose.
When you reserve a Mymik, we collect your name, email, country, and your companion and personality choices, solely to hold your reservation, and contact you once it's ready. We don't collect anything from your child.
Your child's conversations are never stored, they are removed the second the child exits the app. We don't sell or share your data with advertisers. We don't build behavioral profiles of your child. We don't require a subscription or account to use a Mymik. We don't put a camera in a Mymik, and the Mymiks app only listens when your child actively presses the talk button, never passively.
You can delete your Mymik's memory from the device at any time, ask us to delete your reservation details, or withdraw consent to be contacted, at no cost and with no questions asked. As a company designed and operated in Norway, we hold ourselves to European (GDPR) data protection standards regardless of where you live.
